I'm pleased to introduce this remarkable chestnut tree, flourishing on the picturesque Cowdray Estate near Midhurst, West Sussex. The Cowdray Estate is renowned for its magnificent trees, including the famous Queen Elizabeth oak.

The original was drawn in Froxfield By Nick McMillen in 2022.

    For me, sweet chestnut trees hold immense significance. Over the years, I've dedicated myself to working in the coppice woodlands of Sussex, where these trees play a central role in various traditional crafts, from basketry to house construction, and much more.
