This tree stands tall amidst the ancient yews that grace Kingley Vale, nestled near Chichester, West Sussex. Some of these venerable yews are believed to have witnessed over 2000 years of history.

More Information

  • For me, yews hold immense significance. I dedicated two decades of my life to crafting traditional longbows, and yew wood is nothing short of perfect for this purpose. The creamy white sapwood boasts remarkable tensile strength, while the orange heartwood excels under compression. Bowyers have mastered the art of harnessing these properties to create weapons that have left an indelible mark on history.

  • Professionally printed on Hahnemuhle PhotoRag 308 acid free paper, using archival quality inks lightfast upto 150 years.

  • All fine art prints are shipped rolled in strong cardboard tubes.
