A Blossoming Achievement: Nick Becomes a Fellow of the Society of Botanical Artists

 

In May 2024, Nick achieved a significant milestone in his artistic journey by being named a Fellow of the Society of Botanical Artists. This recognition honours his dedication and talent in the field. Having long admired the Society and the exceptional work of its members, becoming a Fellow is both a privilege and a testament to his artistic achievements.

The Society was established in 1985 by Suzanne Lucas and brings together artist of national and international repute. In 1995 the society became a charity in. Its aims are:

To advance the education of the public by promoting the appreciation of botanical art.

To provide facilities for the exhibition of work by artists who practise this genre of art.

The evaluation and awarding of qualifications to practicing, and those seeking to become, professional artists.

To promote the protection, appreciation, conservation and nurture of plants and natural habitats of plant life with special reference to endangered species.

Looking ahead, 2025 marks the Society’s 40th anniversary—a momentous occasion that will be celebrated with a two-week exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. Nick is excited to submit his work, with hopes of being selected for what promises to be a spectacular showcase of botanical artistry.
